Winters are here. And in most parts of India where people bear with the scorching heat of summers, winters are more than welcome.
That said, however, the chill is not always very comfortable. Waking up in the morning is most definitely a challenge. But unlike summers, there are ways to deal with the chill and feel warm. Room heaters didn’t exist since the beginning of mankind. And man has come up with more than one natural ways to counter the cold weather and the moment you succeed in keeping your body warm in the extremely cold weather, there is not a better feeling in the world.
Practice strength straining. That is the best exercise to warm your body. You can go to the gym for the same or do it at your home if you have the necessary equipment. Make sure you drink plenty of water before starting your workout session, as winters can dehydrate your body and thus result in cramping. If you live in a town where it snows in winters, indulge yourself in sports like snowboarding, ice hockey, etc.

Nutrients do a world of good to our body, and warming it is one of them. Cold hands and feet do not necessarily point towards the cold weather, but it may also be a sign that you have a low rate of metabolism. Nutritious food will help take care of either issue. Your diet should contain whole grains such as oats, brown rice and seeds and nuts should be consumed daily to keep yourself warm. Make sure your breakfast starts with a glass of milk. Apart from that, other dairy products are also highly advisable. Non-vegetarian items like meat, chicken, eggs, etc. increase the intake of carbohydrates. Herbal treatment works for almost any type of health issues and they would work well to keep you warm. Add cinnamon, coriander, turmeric to your diet. Start your day with a ginger tea.
You may love winters, but they are best enjoyed when you are able to keep your body warm. Taking the necessary precautions will make your winters more comfortable and keep you away from certain health disorders.
