A balanced diet is recommended for any kind of disorder. Nothing serves you better than food that contains just the right amount of nutrients, without escalations in the fat and cholesterol count.
But the generic way to go about your diet might not serve you well if you recently had a lasik surgery. There are foods that you must avoid at all costs:
Trans-Fat Rich Food- Fries, Chicken, Margarine
Food items containing trans-fats must be banished altogether from the diet for a person who has been recently operated upon for eye complications. Foods like butter chicken can complicate your problems beyond repair and can multiply the chances of falling prey to more eye disorders. Stay away from fried food, cookies and those pastries loaded with heaps of cream.
Reduce the Intake of Salt, Spices and Food Items Like Pizza, Burgers
Having too much spices or even appreciable amount of salt in food immediately after you had a lasik surgery can multiply your complications. Pizzas, tacos, processed food items, hot dogs etc increase the risk of osteoporosis. They weaken your bones to a great extent and have some serious implications on the eyes. People who have been under the scissor once for a lasik surgery must stay away from foods that can aggravate osteoporosis. It can cause impaired eyesight and it is most unlikely to recover from it. Some of food items that increase the risk of osteoporosis are red meat, caffeine, sugar-rich food, etc. Smoking is one of the chief causes for osteoporosis. At the same time you must have food that is rich in proteins and can increase your calcium absorption.
Confectionaries and Bakeries
Excess of sugar is anyways bad for eyes. And when, after your lasik surgery, you have food items that are drenched in sugar, things aren’t likely to look up to you. Stay away from confectionaries, candies, bakeries and chocolates for at least 3 months after your surgery.
Subtracting these from your dietary chat for few months may seem a hard prospect, but it will serve you well ten out of ten times.
