“That love is all there is, is all we know of love,” said Emily Dickinson. But often, I have wanted to know more of love:
What is love really all about? Is there such a thing as unconditional love? What does this emotion/condition mean to different people, at different stages in their lives?
I asked a few people I met to tell me their thoughts on this elusive emotion. Here’s what they said:
Somebody said, when you look at your sleeping child with eyes full of feeling, that’s love. Meaning, love that exists when no one is looking…that seems to me a pretty good way to describe true love. – Ajay, 33, management consultant.
