Have you ever made plans with a woman and then 30 minutes before your date, she sends you a text saying “I totally forgot I have plans to meet my brother and can’t make it” or “I've been called in to work at the last minute. Maybe some other time?” This woman did not just "remember" she had plans. She used a lame excuse to get out of a meeting with you. Face it, you just got flaked on!
Although flaking is a fact of life for any guy who is putting himself out there in the dating world, women don't realize the frustration, annoyance and hurt men experience when they have a woman flake on them. So why do women agree to go out on a date, then never show up? Why do women give you their phone number, then never pick up when you call? Here are five main reasons why women flake on dates.
1. Someone or something else better came along
Women get hit on all the time and basically have an unlimited number of options, and there’s always the chance that she met another guy she was more attracted to. Or maybe it’s not even a guy, but something came up that's more appealing than going on a date with someone she doesn’t really know.
2. She's already involved with someone
Sometimes women will flake because they’re already in a relationship. Maybe she got caught up in the moment and cheating seemed like a good idea at the time, but after thinking about it, she started having second thoughts.
3. She didn't feel enough attraction to you
Sometimes a woman still won’t come out to meet you because she was never all that interested in you and therefore has no incentive to see you again.
4. She thinks you're creepy
For a woman, it may be a safety concern. If she feels an unexplainable feeling of discomfort and awkwardness toward you, she'll simply keep away from you altogether.
5. She was just a tease
Some women intentionally go out and give guys their numbers because they WANT guys they never plan to sleep with chasing them around. Some of the reasons these manipulative women engage in this ‘teasing‘ behavior is because it gives them wanted attention, an ego boost by impressing other women and assurance that they could in fact have certain men if they wanted.
