First dates are always an exciting task, peppered with nervousness. However, if you are a fun person, bored of the regular first date monotony of going for a movie, to a coffee shop or dinner place, then these are some suggestions that should work well.

1. Karaoke time
Karaoke nights are always fun to attend since, everyone knows they are no Michael Jackson and are equally bad at singing. Choose a song you both know and would like to sing the night away. Do a little jig along with it, groove your body over a sexy number or do a slow dance while serenading her with a love ballad.

2. Go to a gaming arcade
Who said gaming arcades are only for tweens? It can very well serve as the venue for a fun-filled first date. It will bring out the child in you and her, which will help you both loosen up.

3. Trekking
Instead of sitting down, why not try something different that requires both of you to move around and sweat it out. Plan a hiking trip up the local hill, get lost in nature’s bounty and burn the calories too. An added advantage of being amidst nature is that you both can talk to each other without any interruptions, in privacy.

4. Local music show
There are dozens of music shows, band performances and concerts happening in most of thr cities on weekends. Choose any one of them that seems good and have a ball.

5. Ice skating
It doesn’t matter that you both are not expert figure skaters as long as you have a good time, which is a given at an ice skating rink. Hold each other’s hands and skate slowly. Know more about your date as well as techniques of smooth ice-skating. You never know, by the time you are done with the date you could be so good at it that the second one too can be arranged there.

6. Sunset viewing from a rooftop
Choose the terrace of her or your house and make it the venue of your first date with a magical touch. Meet up at around sunset time, with some snacks and hot cups of coffee or tea. Get engrossed in conversations with the setting sun as your setting.

7. Meet up for brunch
Instead of the usual lunch or dinner, why not try out a brunch for a date? Brunches are more relaxed, informal and fun as you get a lot of time to know your date. Arrange a date for a late weekend brunch at your local hotel and enjoy the triple benefits of a lunch, breakfast and a date at the same time.
